We have our own testing laboratory equipped with modern measuring and testing equipment, which has access to a wide range of modern methods for studying the structure and properties of a substance.

The laboratory works according to Kazakhstan standards: ST RK ISO 13500-2012 and ST RK ISO 10414-1-2012, which are identical to international standards (API 13) – ISO 13500:2008 “Petroleum and natural gas industries – Drilling fluids materials- Specifications and tests” and ISO 10414-1-2008 “Petroleum and natural gas industries – Field testing of drilling fluids Water based fluids.

Our laboratory provides the following services:

Qualitative verification of chemical reagents according to the national standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan and API standards.

Low-viscosity polyanionic cellulose (PAC-LV) (determination of starch presence, humidity, filtrate volume, apparent viscosity)

High-viscosity polyanionic cellulose (PAC-HV) (determination of starch presence, humidity, filtrate volume, apparent viscosity)

Xanthan resin (determination of the presence of starch, guar or their derivatives, humidity, filtrate volume, sieve analysis, apparent viscosity)

Starch (viscometer scale readings at 600 rpm, filtrate volume, sieve analysis)

Low-viscosity CMC of technical class (CMC-LV) (determination of starch presence, filtrate volume, viscometer scale readings at 600 rpm)

High-viscosity CMC of technical class (CMC-HVT) (determination of starch presence, filtrate volume, viscometer scale readings at 600 rpm)

Barite (determination of density using a Le Chatelier  flask, determination of water-soluble alkali metals in terms of calcium, sieve analysis)

Bentonite (viscometer scale readings at 600 rpm, filtrate volume, sieve analysis)

Untreated bentonite (ratio of yield strength to plastic viscosity, plastic viscosity, filtrate volume)

OSMA class bentonite (viscometer scale readings at 600 rpm, ratio of yield strength to plastic viscosity, filtrate volume, sieve analysis)

Attapulgite (viscometer scale readings at 600 rpm, sieve analysis, humidity determination)

The laboratory performs a complete analysis of drilling fluids according to API standards, data correction and selection of the right formulations for certain conditions and temperatures, as well as develops and selects new drilling mud systems.

One of our latest developments is the FORTIDRILL drilling mud system.

Creating conditions (thanks to specialized equipment) for testing the solution as close as possible to the real ones (those that are available inside the well) using a roller furnace and an HPHT filter press (high pressure, high temperature).
